Luke Phillips completed his Specialist Chef Apprenticeship at our sister hotel, Chewton Glen and has worked his way up to Senior Sous Chef over two subsequent tenures. His appearance on the popular television programme MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 has more than demonstrated that Luke is a real culinary star in the making, and is now proud to be Head Chef at Hans' Bar & Grill.The Chef
Our menus feature chocolate inspired drinks and desserts, inspired by Sir Hans Sloane who first encountered cacao in Jamaica. Sir Hans devised his own recipe for mixing chocolate with milk which was sold by London grocers as a medicinal elixir in the 1750's.
